The educational program in Pabelan Islamic School aims at spreading Islamic teaching and creating graduates who have good moral, behavior, health and broad knowledge. The educational programs can be divided into :
1. Formal Educational
The formal education held is Kulliyat al-Mu’allimin al-Islamiyah ( KMI ) managing Madrasah Tsanawiyah ( MTs ), Madrasah Aliyah ( MA ) dan Takhasus class. Takhasus class is a special program to prepare students coming from MTs or Junior High School outside Islamic school who want to study in MA or they want to deepen their Islamic basic knowledge. Curriculum used in MTs and MA refers to a curriculum mixture of Department of Religion and KMI curriculum, but Takhasus class uses completely curriculum from Islamic school.
2. Islamic School Education
Education activities in Pabelan Islamic school are Al Qur’an reading training, Friday Shubuh lecture, Ramadhan Islamic teaching, holiday short Islamic school.
3. Extracurricular Activity
Extracurricular activities held in Pabelan Islamic School consist of compulsory activities and elective activities. The compulsory extracurricular activities are Pramuka ( Boyscout ), Speech training ( Arabic, Indonesia, English language ), Language courses covering Arabic and English and for students in the third grade of Madrasah Aliyah, they must do Micro-Teaching. The elective extracurricular activities cover “Kitab Kuning” ( classical yellow book discussion ), arts ( music, theatre, painting ), sports, marching band, Pencak Silat ( Indonesian traditional self defense ), Karate, journalism, skills and library studies.
All students also have daily schedule dan weekly schedule held by OPP with informal education as extracurricular activities.
